Student Assistant
Paula is a Master’s student in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam, specialising in Comparative Politics. With a strong foundation in political science and interdisciplinary research, her academic and professional experiences centre on climate finance, sustainable development, and energy transitions. Within the Climate FiGS project, she supports the organisation of local workshops in Tanzania and South Africa to help foster inclusive dialogue around equitable climate finance.
Her experience includes conducting evaluations of international climate funds at Arepo Consult, supporting GIZ’s coal transition and energy partnership initiatives in Ukraine, contributing to international municipal climate cooperation projects, and engaging with climate and development-related work through a local NGO in India. These engagements have shaped her interest in how global climate finance is mobilised and aligned with local needs amidst complex governance structures, an interest she continues to deepen through her work with Climate FiGS.
